Prof. Šimon Peter is a professor at the Slovak University of Technology, Faculty of Chemical and Food Technology. His research and teaching are focused in the field of physical chemistry, chemical kinetics, chemical thermodynamics and thermal analysis applied to materials, including food, modelling the processes occurring in materials and food. Prof. Peter is the Head of the Slovak Group of Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry, an Affiliate Councillor at International Confederation of Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry, regional editor of the Journal of Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry, and member of editorial boards of the Journal of Food and Nutrition Research and Chemical Papers.
